KFC Bucket Canvas

Packaging Design, 2021

Timeline: 1 Month

Role: Designer and Illustrator

Tools: Procreate, Photoshop

To celebrate the brand's presence in more than 150 cities, with over 600 restaurants across India, KFC India invited 30 artists to illustrate 3 cities each in their style. The 3 cities designed for this collaboration are Chandigarh, Amritsar and Dimapur.

These are limited edition buckets to mark their 600 restaurants across India milestone.

Style

The styles I chose for the three artworks depict  different moods, memories and feelings associated with the cities.

Chandigarh

Having spent 5-6 years of my childhood years in Chandigarh, I wanted give this one a personal touch and take a trip down memory lane. The style I chose for this is reminiscent of my drawings as a child.

Amritsar

For Amritsar, I chose an isometric view which encompasses everything the city is known for using the earthy colours of Punjab. This is a tribute to the rich culture of Amritsar and the historical significance the city.

Dimapur

Dimapur is a city rich in culture and wildlife which is precisely what I’ve tried to capture through this artwork. I’ve used shades of green to depict the plethora of flora and fauna found across Nagaland. I’ve also used patterns from the weaves and textiles that people in Nagaland adorn.

The KFC 'Bucket Canvas Campaign' has been featured on multiple news portals like NDTV, afaqs and Brand Equity by Economic Times.

It was also shared by Bollywood actor and influencer - Aparshakti Khurana who is from Chandigarh.
